Privacy

Last updated October 2026

Amply is built to keep your data on your Mac. There are no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.

What stays on your Mac

Your settings and your charge history for the last 24 hours are stored locally on your Mac. They are never sent to us or anyone else.

Battery information

Amply reads your battery's charge, power state, capacity, cycle count and temperature from macOS, on your Mac, to show them in the menu bar and its menu. It doesn't read anything else, and none of this leaves your Mac.

Alerts

The alerts you turn on, such as low battery, are shown by Amply itself on your Mac. Amply doesn't use the notification system and asks for no permissions.

Update checks

Amply asks the App Store whether a newer version is available, using only the app's identifier. No personal information is included.
